Monday Morning Wake-Up Call:
Your Motivation, Inspiration & Direction for the Week Ahead
Your Bucket List
What an exciting time for setting goals! What will you do differently this year? How will you change? I challenge you to go beyond 2016, and set some goals for the rest of your life! It’s a fun activity that continues for years. And it takes the pressure off of possibly falling off track and throwing in the towel by January 31, right?
I started my list of life goals many years ago. At the time, it was three pages long, with so many things to do before my life ended that I was sure I would never do them all. 15 years later, I found that there were just a few things left on my list, which is often referred to as a bucket list. I added another page, and I’ve checked off most of that page too. It’s amazing how it works. There are just a few rules:
- It must be written
- It should be BIG
- You should carry it with you
- You should read it often
- You should tell others what’s on the list (they’ll help you achieve the goals)
Are you in?
Something to Think About
We’ve all heard stories from motivational speakers who talk about their life goals. Many think it’s easy for them. The truth is that it’s easy for everyone. It simply requires you to find a quiet place, spend some time reflecting on what you want to see or accomplish before the end of your life, and write it down.
Create your life goals list, type it out, and start carrying it around today. Here are some questions to help get you started:
- What have you always wanted to do but have not done yet?
- What countries, places or locations do you want to visit?
- What are your biggest goals and dreams?
- Who do you want to see in person?
- What experiences do you want to have/feel?
- What special moments do you want to witness?
- What activities or skills do you want to learn or try?
Come up with as many items as you can. The items should be things you haven’t done yet. Don’t stop until you list at least 100 things! If you get stuck, ask others what they want to do and where they want to go. I get a lot of my best ideas from others!
