RE/MAX Agents Are More Productive in Annual REAL Trends 500 Survey

RE/MAX had more brokerages qualify for the REAL Trends 500 than any other brand. Congratulations to the 550 Broker/Owners, Managers, and Sales Associates featured in this year’s survey!
“RE/MAX and members of the RE/MAX network continue to surpass competitors in annual industry surveys and studies,” said Dave Liniger, CEO, Chairman of the Board and Co-Founder of RE/MAX, LLC. “The 2017 REAL Trends 500 survey confirms that our agents, on average, assist more buyers and sellers with some of the most important transactions of their lifetimes. On behalf of everyone at RE/MAX, I congratulate all of our brokerages that were included in this prestigious survey.”

The REAL Trends 500, now in its 30th year, ranks the performance of the top residential real estate brokerage firms in the country. Firms are ranked by both transaction sides and sales volume for the previous year. For the 2017 REAL Trends Survey, firms needed to close a minimum of 500 transaction sides in 2016 to qualify.

National Ranking Identifies America’s Best Agents

More RE/MAX Agents in Annual Survey than Any Other Brand

DENVER – Real estate agents affiliated with RE/MAX have once again dominated the esteemed 2016 REAL Trends “America’s Best Real Estate Agents” ranking. RE/MAX agents accounted for 22 percent of those listed in the industry’s largest agent ranking based on homes sold in 2015.

RE/MAX agents are often recognized for their outstanding work and dedication to their home-buying and selling clients,” said Dave Liniger, RE/MAX CEO, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board. “With RE/MAX agents representing more than one in five of ‘America’s Best Real Estate Agents,’ consumers understand that RE/MAX agents have the experience to get the job done in today’s market.”

RE/MAX affiliates accounted for 2,691 of the more than 12,000 participating agents in the survey, with nearly one-third more agents named than the next highest ranking brand. Coldwell Banker finished second and Keller Williams came in third.

The fourth annual survey groups agents by state and metro areas. Both individual agents and teams are recognized for sales volume and/or transaction sides. One-third are ranked for both, including 570 RE/MAX agents.

Facts about the qualifying RE/MAX agents and teams:
– RE/MAX agents and teams accounted for 28% of the rankings for transaction sides (2,458 of 8,674)
– The 1,635 individual RE/MAX agents who qualified for the survey averaged 71 transaction sides last year, and $29.6 million in sales volume
– 1,056 RE/MAX teams qualified for the survey averaging 141 transaction sides, and $52.4 million in sales volume

The “America’s Best” ranking is an offshoot of the REAL Trends “The Thousand,” as advertised in The Wall Street Journal. This report ranks the top 1,000 U.S. agents from a pool of more than 12,000 participating agents who met production minimums. Those named in “The Thousand” also are included in “America’s Best.”

In this year’s “The Thousand,” nearly 15% of the agents recognized were affiliated with RE/MAX, which is more than any other brand.

January 2016 RE/MAX National Housing Report

After two consecutive months with falling home sales, December roared back with 6.1% more sales than one year ago. On a month-over-month basis, December sales were much higher than expected at 22.5%. In all of 2015, nine months saw home sales higher than the same month one year ago.

RE/MAX Global Presence Hits Major Milestone

Agent Count Outside North America Now Exceeds 25,000

January 14, 2016
DENVER – At the end of 2015, the number of RE/MAX agents outside the United States and Canada reached 25,000, resulting in an annual growth of 15.4%. Across Europe, RE/MAX agent count surpassed 15,000.

Countries with significant RE/MAX agent populations:

  • Portugal – over 4,000
  • Turkey – over 2,000
  • South Africa – over 2,000
  • Argentina – over 1,500

Led by countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Ecuador and Mexico, Latin America is an area where RE/MAX has been growing rapidly in recent years. RE/MAX also has an increasing presence in Asia and welcomed Malaysia as its latest global addition in December.
